The alternative model <DEMOmodA.xls> shown here contains numbers for some variables rather than equations (the cells are white rather than yellow) for variables for the NUT category. The NUT category variables will be held at the number values in the exogenous data set rather than be generated by equations. The model must be configured for solution before installing the solver (step 4). Alternative models can be ones with ‘equations left out’ or they can have the same equation structure as the main model but they can be configured differently for solution.
