The [Remove Variables to Shrink Model] button on the Model Manager control screen can be used to eliminate unneeded variables from your model, this making it smaller. The variables will be eliminated from the data workbook, the master model variable list, and the Basedata sheet in the equation workbook. Take care not to eliminate variables needed in equations. This option should be used cautiously; for example, you will have to edit existing equations if they contain the removed variables.

Variables, sheets and categories can be removed manually as well using standard Excel row removal options. This should be done cautiously as well and some equations will need to be carefully edited.
