Following the prompt, you select variables to be removed from the Basedata sheet in the equation workbook. The program then removes the variable from the data and definition workbook as well. This process is automatic once you have selected a row(s) of variables to eliminate. It is very easy for things to get confused if you eliminate a variable or code which still may appear in equations. This is true if you use this method or a manual one. Remember, a model does not have to use all variables as long as equations do not use them or they are not used as exogenous variables. So a practical option to remove variables is simple to leave them in the data and model workbooks but edit them out of equations.
